Ethnic Otavalo Market Hammocks
In order to design each hammock, the artisans of the Andean town of Otavalo, use a blend of cotton and Orlon> fibers pigmented in beautiful colors, hand-weaving the hammock designs with symbols of the indigenous culture. A hammock takes many hours to be finished. The supports of the hammocks are resistant to the weather and sunlight because they are made with high quality cotton thread fibre. The hammocks are comfortable and the softness of the materials permits them to be easily folded reducing space for storage. Our artisans always are creating new patterns for the hammocks, and some of them are unique. We have a vast range of colors and patterns, which might slightly vary from the photos shown below. We will make the best possible to offer you a similar hammock as shown in this catalogue. For wholesale information or any other enquiries, please email to carla@carvieirahandicrafts.com
